Everton and Liverpool published a joint declaration condemning the abuses directed against midfielder Blues Abdoulaye Doucoure after the Merseyside derby last night.
Doucoure narrated the itinerant fans after the late equalizer of James Tarkowski, causing a fight with the Liverpool midfielder, Curtis Jones, who led the two players to display red boxes.
The boss of the Reds Arne Slot was also rejected after the final whistle for something he said to the referee Michael Oliver.
The Liverpool Football Club and Everton are aware – and condemn the highest possible terms – the racist abuses received by Abdoulaye Doucoure after the Merseyside derby on Wednesday evening.

The incident preceded a wave of heinous messages intended for the former international Doucoure of Mali.
The press release said: “The Liverpool FC and Everton FC are aware – and condemn the highest possible terms – racist abuses received by Abdoulaye Doucoure after the Merseyside Derby on Wednesday evening.
“Such an abuse is reprehensible and should not and should not be tolerated.
“Together, the two clubs will work with the Merseyside police, who conduct an investigation in order to identify those responsible.
“We also encourage people who testify or undergo online abuses to point out and emphasize it to the social media platforms on which it appears.
“We must all, including social media societies, adopt a zero tolerance position. Platforms must take responsibility and measures to prohibit these attackers.
“Racism and hatred have no online room, in our stages or in our communities.”
