President Donald Trump supports Elon Musk and his efforts in Doge by accepting a Tesla in the White House.
President Donald Trump I bought a Tesla vehicle in front of the White House Tuesday afternoon during an event with the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk.
Speaking in front of the journalists, Trump told Musk that he would write a check to him to buy the entire Tesla Model S.
“I like a check better than this modern system, all of a sudden, there is money on your account,” said Trump. “I like to sign a check!”
“I know he would give me a delivery, but honestly, I don’t want to ask one,” Trump also told the press. “You know, I’m president, and so I want to pay the high price.”

Before buying the vehicle, Trump said that his main reason was that the Tesla vehicle was “an excellent product, as good as possible”.

The Republican praised Musk, saying that he “had been treated very unfairly by a very small group of people”.
“And I just want people to know that he cannot be penalized to be a patriot,” said Trump. “And he’s a great patriot. And he also did an incredible job with Tesla.”

He also confirmed that his new Tesla vehicle would be led by the staff of the White House, including the Communication Advisor Margo Martin.

Musk thanked Trump “for his support,” telling the president that “means a lot”.
