Hundreds of thousands of houses are without power because the storm Alfred brings high winds and heavy rains on the east coast of Australia.

Initially called Alfred Cyclone, the meteorological front was demoted to a tropical low with winds planned to reach up to 85 km / h, less strong than the first forecasts.
