Spring may not look like the season to watch crime shows, but when is it not A good time to solve a good mystery or two? Good weather outside does not mean that you should ignore the many suspense stories that are available in streaming.
The British know how to turn a good crime thread, and one of their main exports for years is the mystery genre. From picturesque countryside to shocking crimes in urban areas, the British mysteries stand out and above their American counterparts.
In March, treat yourself to one, two or three of the following British crime shows that are currently broadcasting on Netflix, Max and Britbox.
‘Ludwig’ (2025)

Fans of Monk will come a kick from Ludwiga new British detective program which is already one of the Best series examined of the year. John “Ludwig” Taylor (David Mitchell) is a recluse that enjoys his solitude and creating his increasingly complex puzzle books.
His recluse existence is interrupted when his twin brother, the loss inspector James Taylor (also Mitchell), disappears, and his wife concerned Lucy (Anna Maxwell Martin) asks him to find him. To discover what happened to his brother, Ludwig pretended to be James and resolves other crimes while trying to resolve the mystery of the disappearance of his brother.
Ludwig is played mainly for laughter because the socially incompetent hero must pretend to be as sociable and charming as his brother to remove his charade. As a thorny puzzle, Mitchell is a hoe as a man who reluctantly becomes the detective he always wanted to be. JK Rowling is the author more than just Harry Potter and his wizard friends. Using the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, the Scottish author wrote several mysteries novels featuring the damaged emotional detectives Cormoran Blue Strike and his partner Robin. Most novels have already been adapted in several seasons of CB strikewhich broadcasts in the United States on Max.
Among the many mysteries of the show are the suspicious suicide of a famous model, the disappearance of a controversial author and the murder of a deceased woman in the 1960s. Abdullah Asif was murdered, and no one knows who did it or why. No one really cares, except the detective Kip Glaspie (Carey Mulligan), who believes that his death is more than just shot by car. His hypothesis proves to be exact because the Kip investigation leads him to discover a plot that involves high -ranking politicians and human traffickers.
Collateral is only four episodes, but he draws the best party from his shorter execution time than usual. With a Playwright smart script David Hare and a control of Mulligan commanding lead, Collateral is a criminal program that skillfully mixes social comments and suspense in an entertaining package. The show takes place largely in London and makes great use of historical buildings and atmospheric districts of the city.
