Unai Emery confirmed that Ollie Watkins is ready to snub the interest of Arsenal and to stay in Aston Villa.
The English international has been the subject of an offer of 60 million pounds sterling reported from the Gunners earlier this week, the news that broke a few hours before the 4-2 victory on Wednesday evening against Celtic in the Champions League, A match in which Watkins scored and missed a penalty.
With Jhon Duran about to seal a move of 64 million pounds Sterling in Al Nassr, the last thing Villa needs is that Watkins indicates that he also wants to go out. But Emery said, after talking to him, the 29 -year -old is happy at Villa Park.
Emery said, “Yes, he is happy to stay. We asked him how he felt every day and he is happy here.
“He really appreciates the way Villa always supported him and helped him, when we joined here two years ago how we worked with him and we took the best of him.
“Now we need him, as he needed Aston Villa in recent years. I talk to him a lot, he always adapts to all the circumstances we have and of course, when some teams call us interested in players, it’s very good for us and the players.
“Some players prefer to leave and some agree to stay here and get involved with our challenges. One of them is Ollie Watkins. »»

Defensive verses for wolves derby
After the mid -week euphoria, Villa is taking care of the Premier League Matters tomorrow with a local skirmish in Wolves.
They will make the short trip to Molinine without the defensive duo Tyrone Mings and Matty Cash.
Mings was injured against West Ham last weekend while Cash lasted only 30 minutes from the Celtic match before Box.
Emery said, “We will train this afternoon, but Matty Cash is not available, it will be more or less, three or four weeks.
“Tyrone Mings is a little injury, not really bad, but I think he will need a few more days to be ready to play.”
