Other tablets to consider
We test tons of tablets each year. Here are some others that we love, but not as much as our choices above.
Pad OnePlus for $ 399:: The Pad OnePlus has a successor, but OnePlus says that he will continue to sell the Pad OnePlus until the stock escapes. It is a great value at the frequently reduced price of $ 300 (8/10, recommend wire). The multitasking is in particular effective, helped by the company’s accessories: a magnetic keyboard case and a stylus. It was the first time that I felt comfortable working for long stretches on an Android tablet. The 11.61 inch LCD 144 Hz screen is clear, fluid and colorful, the battery can last almost a full day of work and the performance is smooth. It is a shame that there is no microSD slot, headphone jack or biometric authentication.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Fe Plus for $ 480:: The Tab Galaxy S9 Fe is “Fans edition»Version of the TAB S9 flagship series, which means that it makes sacrifices at a more pleasant price for taste. He comes in a plus and standard variant– I tested the first – and both include a stylus. He played a lot Better than the old TAB S7 FE tablet that I tested with fewer battlers. The 12.4 -inch LCD screen is large and a rarity to find at this price in the world of Android tablets, but it is a little difficult to keep comfortably, especially when navigating on applications in bed. He dropped up to $ 400 before, so try to take it for sale.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series for $ 700 +:: The Galaxy Tab S9 2023 series (7/10, wired recommends) consists of three tablets: the Tab S9,, Tab S9 +And Tab S9 Ultra. They are all expensive, although prices have dropped since their release. The equipment is always excellent and, since the new TAB S10 series is not radically different, the TAB S9 series is still worth it. They wear 120 Hz Superbright screens and IP68 water resistance, and Samsung includes the S Pen stylus.
Amazon Fire HD 10 (2023) for $ 140:: This Amazon tablet Fall at $ 75 on sale, and it’s a difficult price to beat. The update completed The 2021 model is largely just a processor bump, which makes it a little faster. Its performance is decent (obtaining The keyboard pack If you plan to do light strike tasks).
Paco Paco for £ 415:: This affordable tablet of the Xiaomi fun budgetary submark has a beautiful 12.1-inch net screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and four stereo speakers on the sides. The quality of construction of the POCO is impressive for the price, although it is quite bulky and heavy, and it is ideal for watching films or relaxed games in bed. The performance is stretched if you play something too demanding, and hyperos above Android 14 can be clumsy and ugly. The battery life is pleasant and you can expect several days from the Poco pavement with light use. Unfortunately, it is not currently available in the United States. –Simon Hill
Honor Magicpad 2 for £ 500:: This chic tablet is also not currently sold in the United States. Quite similar to the ONEPLUS 2 PAD that we recommend above, it has a really beautiful OLED screen with impressive specifications (3K resolution, 1,600 nits, 144 Hz cooling rate) which are generally not available at this price. Associated with eight speakers, watching movies and playing on this tablet is a pleasure. The stylus and keyboard are great (I like writing and recognition of the formula), but they do not seem to be available in the United Kingdom. I found the features of the Honor AI, like Magic Portal, which becomes good to predict what you want to do, very useful, perhaps more on a tablet than a phone. The battery life is good and the load is fast (66 watts). The only real weakness here is the limited treatment power, which cannot correspond to something like an iPad (although you will pay much more for an equivalent Apple device). –Simon Hill
Tablet accessories
Tablets are often not delivered with crutches or enough ports, so it’s a good idea to hang some accessories to improve your experience. These are some of our favorite tablet accessories, many of which you can also find in our Best iPad accessory guide.
Satechi aluminum desktop stand for $ 45:: This is my favorite tablet stand, so much so that I won with me during travel. It accumulates relatively well, and it is very Stable – There is no vacancy here. You can also adjust the angle a little. It can also manage huge sizes – it has worked perfectly with my 12.9 inch iPad Pro.
Bluetooth keyboard Logitech K380 Pebble for $ 40:: Do you want a simple Bluetooth keyboard for your tablet instead of spending half the price of your tablet on a keyboard box? I have been using the K380 of Logitech for years and it works perfectly. It takes two AA batteries that I have not yet replaced (Logitech claims two years of use), and you can switch between three devices connected via Bluetooth.
Twelve South Compass Pro represent $ 30:: This is designed for iPads, but I had no trouble using it for many other tablets. It is more suitable for trips than the satechi above and quite stable, but when I lift the tablet, the rear leg tends to change position. You can tilt yourself low enough for sketch or keep it standing to watch movies. Unlike Satechi, this is not an excellent option to keep the right tablet on a mattress.
Twelve South Staygo Mini HUB USB-C for $ 60:: It works with iPads and other tablets very well. You can either connect it and keep it to sink with the edge of a slate, or use the cord included to keep it extended. You get a USB-C port that you can use for passing load, USB-A, HDMI and headphone jack.
Lamicall swan neck holder for $ 28:: I used it on my bed frame to remember various tablets for more than a year. The swan neck requires a little finagling to get to the right position, and if you constantly type the tablet, will shake. But it is a Large Middle hands To watch movies. You can fix the pliers to any surface, such as an office or kitchen counter.
Duo Duo Hoverbar Twelve South / Stand for $ 80: You can use it as a support or as an arm support, and twelve south facilitates the tilting between the two. This means that you can easily fix your tablet on your bedside arm support, then put it on the stand in your home office in the morning. The two are robust and the arm’s support is decently adjustable. Even better, it does not move as much as the Lamicall above when you press the screen.
Anker nano 3 30 watt charging adapter for $ 20:: Most of the tablets charge at around 18 watts, so this Anker 30 Watts charger is more than capable. The traffic jams fall back and it’s quite compact. If your tablet do Faster load support, then I recommend USB-C charger with three ports of Satechi Satechi ($ 75) ($ 75). This will allow you to load your phone, tablet and laptop on the same sheet.
Einova Ultra Fast Power Bank for $ 47:: This electricity bank is slim enough to store next to a tablet in your bag, and it has sufficient capacity (20,000 mAh) to recharge a 11 -inch tablet twice. You can quickly fill the USB-C port and use the two USB-A ports to recharge other devices.
