Openai extends his imprint to Germany. According to a press release Friday, the Chatgpt manufacturer plans to open an office in Munich in the coming months.
“Germany is renowned for its technical expertise, its academic excellence and its industrial innovation,” said Sam Altman, CEO of Openai, in a press release. “The opening of our first office in Germany means that we can help even more people, businesses and institutions to benefit from the possibilities of AI.”
According to the press release, Openai discussed the opening of a German satellite office with German officials since 2023. In Europe, Germany has the largest number of users, subscribers and API S developers ‘Press Openai technology, according to the startup.
An Openai spokesperson told Techcrunch by e-mail that the office would hire to start marketing positions, global affairs and communications. They refused to share details on the number of roles.
The new Openai house in southern Germany comes after the company based in San Francisco opened its offices in Paris, Brussels and Dublin, welcoming its presence from the EU.
