Thousands of travelers were brought to the stop on Monday morning after a massive power failure caused a flight delays at Baltimore-Washington International Airport.
About 150 flights were delayed and 50 flights were canceled at BWI Thurgood Marshall airport, according to the Flightaware flight tracking website.
The airport said that many flights that were supposed to arrive were in the process of diversion while the crew was working to restore energy. The airport has provided updates on X throughout the day. At noon, the east, they announced that the power was “completely restored”, but the passengers would continue to be affected by delays.
