Apple has regularly updated its product range in the past year to ensure so many devices work with Apple Intelligence as possible. But quite shocking, the new basic iPad now has an A16 chip rather than the A14 in the previous model. This will certainly provide better performance, but it is not enough for Apple Intelligence. It is an obvious way to differentiate this iPad from the iPad Air just updatedWho now has a M3 chip. The two most recent air models also work with Apple Intelligence.

A good thing here is that Apple has doubled the storage and maintained prices – the 128 GB model costs $ 349, and you can also get it with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. It is available in blue, pink, silver and yellow.

Besides the A16, however, it remains the same here. The iPad always has a 10.9 -inch screen (which they only call 11 inches at this stage) which lacks some of the subtleties that you will find on the display of the iPad Air as a complete stratification on the front glass and an anti -reflective covering. He essentially has the same table of cameras as other non-pro-iPad iPad at this stage, a 12 megapixel shooter at the front and back. There is no face identification, not surprising – you will have to authenticate with Touch ID on the power button.

As with the iPad Air, the new basic iPad is open to pre -orders and will be available on March 12.
