Willie Mullins, who experienced a wonderful Cheltenham festival in 2024, suffered a blow before this year’s meeting with the main competitor Kawaboomga was injured by an injury.
The five -year -old was one of the favorites for the novices howling the second day of the festival, but will remain in Ireland and will miss the rest of the season.
It is an early reverse for Mullins, who was the most selected coach 12 months ago with nine victories on the course of Gloucestershire.
Kawaboomga belongs to JP McManus, whose director of the Frank Berry race said: “Unfortunately, Kawaboomga has had a setback and will miss the rest of the season.
“It’s a big horse and it’s disappointing, but I hope everything will be good, we will come back for the fall.”
Mullins and McManus have other horses in the race, however, and could still come out victorious.
The final demand formed by Mullins is the favorite of the posts with McManus having its colors on the very new lion.
