Senator Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., Decomposes bipartite legislation aimed at protecting the elderly from application scams and Elon Musks’ efforts with Doge to stop fraud in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
The Government Ministry of Efficiency (DOGE) said on Monday that it was working to clean millions of files in the Social security Administration databases by marking the nominoty holders listed at the age of 120 as having died.
“In the past two weeks, @Socialsecurity has started a major cleaning of their files,” Doge wrote on Monday in an article on X. “About 3.2 million nominos holders, all listed, 120 years and over, have now been marked as deceased. More work to do.”
Doge’s Post said that on March 8, the social security database listed just over 12.3 million number holders as 120 years or more. This figure includes more than 1.3 million in the order of 150 to 159 years.
The group’s position does not specify whether one of these numeric holders really received social security benefits, as a medallion chief Elon Musk previously asserted.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) published its own release Monday explaining that if the agency receives millions of death reports each year “less than a third of 1% are wrongly deaths which must be corrected”.
“Cases where a person is wrongly reported as deceased in social security can be devastating for individual, spouses and dependent children,” SSA wrote. “The benefits are stopped in the short term, which can cause financial difficulties until the benefits and benefits are restored, and the process turned out to be that wrong death will always seem too long and difficult.”

THE Seattle Times Recently reported in a case involving Ned Johnson, 82, of Seattle, who was wrongly marked as deceased by the agency in February. Johnson told the point of sale that the experience was “really surreal” and that the agency had recovered payments from its account.
He then undertook a three-week process, trying to correct the situation by phone without success during the first two weeks, before making an appointment for the end of March. Johnson was frustrated by the delay and went to Social security office In downtown Seattle, where, after waiting for several hours, the employees were able to verify that he still lives and corrects the agency’s files.
The press release on Monday’s SSA SSA describes how the nominotic holders who have been poorly labeled as deceased should approach the situation, which requires a current and original identification form.

“If a person suspects that he has been incorrectly listed as died in his social security file, he should contact her local social security office as soon as possible,” SSA wrote. “They should be ready to bring at least one piece of original identification shape (not expired).”
“Social security takes immediate measures to correct its files and the agency can provide a letter that the error has been corrected which can be shared with other organizations, agencies and employers,” added the agency.
