Marcus Rashford has held talks with a leading sports agency in a bid to move away from Manchester United this month, according to reports.

According to The Sun, the 27-year-old has been in contact with Stellar, the same agency that helped facilitate Gareth Bale’s £86 million move to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.

On its website, Stellar claims to “create the best opportunities for talents to optimize their careers and realize their ambitions”.

Rashford is currently represented by his brother Dwaine Maynard, but The Sun also claims he is ready to join Stellar to help with the move.

It has been a turbulent time for Rashford under new United boss Ruben Amorim. Before the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle on Monday, where he was an unused substitute, Rashford had been left out of United’s squad for four games by the Portuguese manager.

This led England to reveal in an interview with journalist Henry Winter in December that he was “ready for a new challenge”, sparking increasing speculation over his future at Old Trafford.

But the United academy graduate insisted there would be “no hard feelings” if he left the Red Devils.

“You will not get any negative comments from me about Manchester United. It’s me as a person,” he said.

United are currently 14th in the Premier League table after a dismal run of results which has seen them lose three consecutive games without scoring.

They travel to leaders and fierce rivals Liverpool on January 5 before traveling to Arsenal in the FA Cup third round seven days later.
