Jeremy Renner don’t take your life for granted.
The Marvel star, 53, shared her gratitude via poignant message Instagram post was posted online on Wednesday, January 1 as he reflected on the snowplow accident that nearly killed him two years ago.
Renner was rushed to hospital and broke more than 30 bones after being run over by a snow plow at his Nevada home on New Year’s Day 2023. In the Instagram post’s caption, the actor commemorated the two-year anniversary of the near-fatal incident.
“Happy New Year, blessings to you all…. As I celebrate my second ‘ReBirthday’ today, I send my love, respect and gratitude to the army of people it took to put me back together,” he wrote.
“Thank you to every nurse, doctor, first responder…I literally owe you my life. All my heart goes out to my beautiful and courageous nephew and to the angels (my neighbors) who jumped to my aid and endured the chaos for 45 long minutes on the icy asphalt of New Year’s morning. I am very sorry for all the haunting images I printed for you (I’ll spare you all the meat grinding images)….
He continued: “My gratitude list is very long…. With the amount of love and prayers that have poured in from you all over the world (needing every one of them), my family has never left me, with divine intervention, a little luck and a lot of miracles… I stand. strong again. More open. More loved. More connected. And fucking BLESSED to take my next step, to take MY NEXT BREATH. Thank you for every fiber and cell in my body. I love you ALL ❤️. #MyNextBreath.
Along with the lengthy caption, Renner shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed surrounded by doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.
THE Accident of January 2023 saw the actor run over by a PistenBully, a snow removal vehicle weighing more than 14,330 pounds, near his home while he was shoveling snow with his nephew.
As a result of the accident, Renner suffered more than 38 fractures, including six broken ribs in 14 places, a broken tibia and a collapsed lung.
“I remember every ripple” he said Men’s health in July 2024. “I remember my head cracking on the thing and it pressing down on me – it’s exactly what you think it would be. An immovable object and an overwhelming force, and something has to give. But thank goodness my skull didn’t completely give in.
