Building on the success of its flagship Aura sunglasses launched in 2024, Aura Rx integrates prescription lenses with the company’s proprietary lens technologies: Prismatic and Eclipse. I tried it out at the Pepcom Digital Experience party at CES 2025, the big tech show in Las Vegas this week.
Aura Rx introduces the world’s first prescription glasses with electronic color-changing and tint-adjustable lenses. Featuring PrismaticTM or EclipseTM lens technologies, users can easily switch between four different colors or four different tint levels with a simple touch. With the new launch of Chamelo, users have the opportunity for ultimate customization within the same
product – color changing or tint adjusting lenses, both controlled by a tap. Perfect vision meets perfect control, with premium, high-index lenses with a prescription range of +/- 100 to +/- 600. Advanced dual-layer lens architecture and durable anti-scratch coating provide crystal clear optics in all states.

For those looking for traditional sun protection with enhanced control, EclipseTM technology allows users to adjust between four distinct tint levels with a simple touch, maintaining perfect clarity at each level.
Unlike traditional photochromic lenses that can take minutes to adjust and do not darken while driving, Aura Rx gives users instant control over the desired tint level in any environment, whether behind the wheel vehicle.

High-tech features in a portable, durable package
Aura Rx is designed to protect and designed to perform. Featuring an IPX4 rating, impact-resistant construction, anti-scratch coating and 99.9% UV protection, users don’t have to worry about daily wear and tear. Additionally, users will typically get over a week of use on a single charge, with a quick charge to 80% in just 30 minutes. Optional lens enhancements, including polarization and blue light blocking, will be available soon, giving users even more customization options.
Aura Rx will be available for purchase starting in February, with the ability to customize the glasses with black or white frames, Eclipse or Prismatic technology, and the prescription add-on starting at $385 on the Chamelo website .
