Jax Taylor takes FULL CREDIT for The Valley and SLAMS Lisa Vanderpump’s role as producer!
Jax Taylor stirs the pot once again, claiming he’s the mastermind behind The Valley, take all the credit for starting the show and slamming Lisa Vanderpump for having “no part” in it – despite her title as producer.
“That’s how it all happened.” Jax wrote in the caption of a 2021 Instagram photo featuring himself and the executive producer Alex Baskin. “About two years after I left Vander PumpI decided it was time to come back to television but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do.
“How about we do a show in the ‘valley‘ face our lives after Vander Pump“, Jax recalled. “That means starting a family, getting married, living in the suburbs, etc. Dealing with more issues that I think the audience could relate to.
Jax continued: “So, one very cold evening, I told the girls and decided to meet them. [Alex] in a hotel that we both love @hotel_amarano and I wanted to propose this idea to him. “This [photo] it was that night of November 11, 2021—Ryan and I was putting on a show/casting at one of our favorite places @casavegarestaurant.
“The work we put into it was insane” Jax admitted. “But we also learned a lot about what to do and how difficult it is to start a successful show. And now it’s 2025 and we have season 2 of ‘The Valley“on the horizon.”
When a fan asked Lisa Vanderpump role of producer, Jax didn’t hold back. “It’s a spinoff, so she’ll still get credit. That’s how television works,” he explained. “She’s not participating in the show.”
The subject of Lala Kent And Scheana Shay appeared when another fan suggested keeping them apart The Valley. Jax » responded thoughtfully, recognizing their talents. “I think that Lala And Scheana are incredible at what they do,” he said.
“To be honest, we keep the same formula as Vander Pump. Trying to make the show as authentic as possible and if that means having episodes with actors from the past and present, so be it. It’s the beauty of keeping Vanderpump/Valley alive for fans who enjoy the show.
One fan wondered if the idea of The Valley was in preparation long before, more precisely after Stassi Schröder marriage.
Jax confirmed that while it was once just an idea, it didn’t take off until later. “Unfortunately, at that time, it was just talk,” he admitted. “But nothing happened later.”
As The Valley is preparing its second season, that’s clear Jax is proud of the work he did to bring this project to life, despite the drama and mixed opinions surrounding the series and its actors.
