DALLAS — An award-winning North Texas wine bar is closing its doors this month after about five years.

Trova Wine and Market opened in Preston Center in 2020 and featured a collection of more than 200 wines by the bottle and 22 wines by the glass as well as a gourmet menu including small plates, sandwiches, cheeses and charcuterie .

Owner Michelle Bonds said Trova’s last day of service will be Jan. 18.

“Since opening in 2020, we have loved seeing Trova become a happy place where wine lovers can sit back and relax, find a sense of community, and discover exciting new bottles and delicious food in our space,” said posted a message on Trova’s Facebook. page reads. “We are incredibly grateful for the love and support you have shown us over the years and are sad to announce that our last day of service will be Saturday, January 18th. It’s no secret that owning a small business is difficult and while it has been a near impossible decision, I know it’s the best one.

Thank you for five wonderful, wine-filled years. 🤍

Trova was named one of America’s 50 Best Restaurants by Passionate about wine magazine in 2023. It was the only North Texas restaurant to make the list.

The magazine at the time wrote: “Trova takes meat and cheese boards to another level, with more than a dozen charcuterie selections and nearly 20 cheeses, plus creative small plates like ‘peaches + cream’ ”, roasted local peaches with labneh, prosciutto and fennel pollen. . The choose-your-own-adventure theme continues with about 20 drinks poured.
