Brooke Shields Shares Details Of Her Divorce From Andre Agassi

Brooke Shields a new book is out today, in which the former model talks about her divorce from the tennis star Andre Agassi.

In his new memoir, “Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed To Age: Thoughts On Aging As A Woman“, the 59-year-old mother of two revealed what Agassi said to her during their divorce that made her happy they didn’t have children together.

Shields and Agassi were married from 1997 to 1999, and the former “Pretty Baby” actress credits the tennis champion for helping her split from her manager mother, Teri, according to AARP Magazine.

Although her doctor assumed she would be happy with the procedure, Shields says she was “enraged.”

“This man surgically altered my body without my consent,” she noted. “And he thought he did me a favor by starting a ‘bonus procedure’? The sheer chutzpah made me angry.”

“The fact that the most intimate parts of my body had been the center of public attention for so long… it was already enough,” she wrote. “All I thought was, ‘Why can’t everyone just leave my vagina alone?’ (Even now, as I write this, I know this will be what makes the headlines. Shields shared that she never spoke to the doctor who performed the unwanted procedure again because she felt unsafe.
