Manchester United will look to confirm Thursday night’s 3-1 victory over Southampton when they take on Brighton this afternoon.
Ruben Amorim’s men toiled for much of the match against the Premier League’s bottom club, but Amad Diallo’s late hat-trick gave them a flattering 3-1 victory.
The win moved them up to 13th in the table and three more points this afternoon would see them climb to 11th.
Brighton will present a significant challenge, however.
Fabian Hurzeler’s side may not be at their best currently, but they have found a solidity that has translated into a five-game unbeaten run in the league.
Manchester United team news
Rasmus Hojlund paid the price for his disappointing recent form by being sent to the bench.
The Danish striker has scored just two league goals this season and has been replaced by Joshua Zirkzee.
Diogo Dalot returns from suspension and will play in the left-back role while Diallo will move forward to play alongside Bruno Fernandes.
The third change sees Harry Maguire recalled in place of Lisandro Martinez.
Manchester United: Onana, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Maguire, Yoro, Dalot, Ugarte, Mainoo, Fernandes, Diallo, Zirkzee.
