Lauren Sanchez, the fiancée of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, is the center of attention for her outfit at US President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony. Sanchez was seen wearing a white blazer and pants with a lace corset underneath with crossed lapels from Alexander McQueen.
This look was deemed inappropriate for a formal occasion. Netizens questioned whether or not this look was appropriate, with some even saying it looked trashy. Others also said money doesn’t equal class, with one user even mocking the Amazon billionaire’s wife.
“Lauren Sanchez wears a lingerie top inside the Capital Rotunda during the inauguration. Is this appropriate?” » asked one user.
“Lauren Sanchez is wearing a corset bra under her jacket. Wild outfit for Trump inauguration,” another user said.
“Looks like Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend Lauren Sanchez’s shirt was delayed by Amazon delivery so she opted for a jacket and bra. Chic,” a third user commented.
“Come on Lauren Sanchez. You decided to wear a bra and blazer to a presidential inauguration? Money doesn’t equal class. It’s shameful,” a fourth user said.
“Lauren Sanchez was dressed by Victoria’s Secret for the inauguration. Damn,” another user joked.
“I prefer sexy women, but this is a tasteless look. She should have consulted the First Lady about her attire. Melania looks sexy and badass,” one user commented.
Trump was sworn in as president of the United States for the second time Monday during an indoor ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda. JD Vance was also sworn in as Vice President of the United States.
The event was moved indoors due to the extremely cold weather in the United States. Members of the new Trump administration were unable to bring their spouses. Governors, including Ron DeSantis of Florida and Brian Kemp of Georgia, were invited to watch the ceremony from the overflow room.
The ceremony was attended by several world leaders and business tycoons, including Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Meta.
India was represented by Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. Additionally, Jeff Bezos had donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund. Amazon also streamed the ceremony live on Prime Video.
