ADEMOLA LOOKMAN furiously retaliated to the “disrespectful” comments of Gian Piero Gasperini on his misading miss in the defeat of Atalanta against Club Brugge where her manager described him as “one of the worst penalty takers I have never seen ”.
Atalanta was eliminated from the Champions League by the Belgian team due to a 5-2 overall defeat in the direct elimination qualifiers, with a 3-1 defeat in Bergame on Tuesday evening, sealing their sealed.

The Nigerian international, who was recently appointed African footballer of the year, has now been published publicly against his manager for his post-match comments.
Writing on X, Lookman said: “It saddens me one day like this to write this declaration – especially because of what we have achieved together as a team and as a city.
“Being chosen in which I had not only wounds, but I feel deeply disrespect.
“In truth, I have treated many difficult times of my stay here – the majority I have never talked about because in my opinion, the team must always be protected and must come first. This makes what happened even more injuring last night.
“With our incredible fans, we as a team we also hurt with the result of last night. During the match, the designated penalty lessee asked me to take the penalty; And to support the team, I took responsibility for the moment to do so.

Lookman joined Atalanta de RB Leipzig in 2022, scoring 47 goals and providing 23 assists in 106 appearances for the Bergamo based club.
The former striker of Everton and Fulham marked a hat -trick in the final when Atalanta won the Europa League for his very first major European honor.
He also scored three goals for Nigeria in the Super Eagles final at the African Cup of Nations last year.
