Photoshop officially becomes a team project. Adobe announced the creation of live co-editing on Photoshopallowing multiple people to work on the same file simultaneously from different computers. If you’re tired of waiting for a document, this is probably great news, but if you only want to share the final product, you may not want to alert your boss.
Adobe suggests a multitude of uses for live co-editing in Photoshoplike collaborating with other designers, allowing clients to directly edit and comment on a document, or having students follow along with a teacher’s lesson. To be honest, my design skills could be better if I had this option during my Photoshop course at university.
The feature is not completely finalized, with live co-editing currently only available in beta – although the company is offering a similar feature in Adobe Express. You can sign up to be part of the beta testing group here if you want to test it for yourself. You can also check out competitors like Clothwhich already offers real-time collaboration.
