Do you know the conspiracy theory that suggests how powers that really have access to medicine that can cure all diseases, but they do not offer it to the public because it means that the health system would collapse? Do you know, the system that collects bonuses with healthy people, but then refuses to pay for the necessary medical procedures when they fall sick so that pharmaceutical companies can earn money on the back? Common side effectsA series of swimming for adults currently available for streaming on max, is in the middle of its first season race, and suggests that this miracle remedy really exists in the form of magic mushrooms that can cure anyone, even if they are on the verge of death.
From Common side effects is still telling its story, and we are waiting for four other episodes before the end of season 1, there is no way to know at this stage at what depth this fictitious version of the aforementioned conspiracy theory takes place.

Common side effects is really the story of Marshall Cuso (Dave King) because he is the expert in mushrooms who discovered the blue angel mushroom still used in Peru in the company of his pets, Socrates. The Blue Angel Mushroom has powerful psychoactive and healing properties that would indefinitely undermine the results of the American health system if the public should be informed of its discovery. Constantly (and rightly) look over his shoulder for DEA employees like Copano (Joseph Lee Anderson) and Harrington (Martha Kelly) agents, who watch Marshall to see if he is committed to an illegal activity, Marshall is looking for a safe refuge where he could understand how to reproduce the mushroom so that humanity can prosper and no longer be sick.
Although Marshall’s intentions are pure Common side effectsHis judgment hits up when he performs on Frances Applewhite (Emily Pendergast), his high school crush, which is just for Rectical, a corrupt pharmaceutical company led by CEO Rick Kruger (Mike Judge), whose wealth is so amazing that he has completely lost contact with reality.
Frances expresses his interest in the research and results of Marshall because his mother suffers from dementia and could benefit from the consumption of the Blue Angel fungus, which is in limited food. However, due to the personal interest of Frances to help her mother, she neglects to tell Marshall for whom she works, because he has every reason to be wary of a health system that does not have the best interest of her constituent in mind.
Deep meaning behind its original delivery
When everyone catches the wind of incredible discovery of Marshall Common side effectsThey all want a piece of him, forcing him to hide to continue his research – the government does not want the public to know the mushroom Blue Angel and its healing properties, and Rick Kruger, of Retutical, wants to get their hands on the last medicine that anyone needed to make his company out of red and in the dark.
Frances finds itself taken between the good intentions of Marshall and the poor inner work of the industry of which it is part because Marshall cannot probably distribute its conclusions by itself, but companies as a reutical, in collusion with various government agencies, prefer that everyone remains sick so that they can continue to take advantage of their misery.
Despite the heavy subject explored in Common side effectsIt is indeed hilarious because of the brilliant Marshall. Marshall, who has probably eaten far too much mushrooms for his own good while looking for the Blue Angel strain, is comically paranoid, but more often than bad in his assumptions that it is followed by Copano and Harrington agents. Run like a lively ninja Jack BlackMarshall is also surprisingly light on his feet when he has to hide and dive into various hiding places while distributing his very limited supply of mushrooms which he really needs samples if he wants to understand how to reproduce his healing properties.
Common side streaming
When writing these lines, there are murmurs of Common side effects Repeat for a second season which has not yet been confirmed. Given the short shelf life of animated series for adults as Reign of the carognardI would not be surprised if it is the only season we get … but it’s too early to say with certainty.
