The Indian Premier League is expected to come back for its 18th season on Saturday while the Kolkata Knight Riders open their title defense in their field, the Eden Gardens.

What is the format of the 2025 IPL season?
The tournament calendar has changed a few times. The league has started in a format around, but it has been changed in a group format and this season, the 10 teams will be played twice with the return of the league style format.
The two best teams at the end of the League games will play the first qualifier while the third and fourth teams will compete in the eliminator.
The winner of the first qualifier will reserve a place in the final, while the loser will play the winner of the eliminator in the second qualifier. The winner of this match will become the second team to qualify for the final.

Who are the largest SIGNATURES OF IPL 2025?
The Guichet Guardian Guardian Pants was the most expensive signature during the 2025 IPL auction held in November. The Lucknow captain was put into bags for $ 3.2 million.
