Apple just dropped the first eight minutes of Severance season two

The second season of the hit sci-fi drama Breakup . However, Apple just threw us a bone by losing the first eight minutes of the season. It’s been almost three years so it’s a nice little holiday gift.

You can find the exclusive preview on the Apple TV+ app in the Bonus Content section of the Breakup page. There won’t be any spoilers here, but the excerpt touches on the fallout from the events of the first season and might even touch on that surprising cliffhanger.

For the uninitiated, Breakup is a sci-fi take on work-life balance in which some employees of an obscure company “separate” their work from their regular selves. The result is a heartbreaking, and sometimes hilarious, treatise on human identity and the lengths to which our corporate overlords go to make money. It’s very good. Best of all? Beginners won’t have to wait three full years to watch the second season.

Apple TV+ also to social media which strongly involves planning a sort of free weekend for non-subscribers, scheduled for January 4th and 5th. The images are all labeled with slogans like “see for yourself” and “save the date.”

If true, this would be a great way to check out Apple’s impressive slate of sci-fi originals without paying for a subscription. The streamer has become the de facto home of sci-fi in recent years, releasing notable programs like Breakup, Silo, Foundation And For all humanityamong many others.
