Mikel Arteta insists that there is still a long way to go in the race for the title of the Premier League despite his side of the arsenal wasting the chance to fill the gap on the Liverpool leaders after falling against West Ham.
Jarrod Bowen scored the only goal in the match in the Emirates when the Gunners have undergone a first championship defeat since early November to miss the opportunity to reduce the Five Reds’ advance.
The teenager Myles Lewis-Skelly was sent in the second half to worsen what was a frustrating afternoon for the men of Arteta.

The Arne Slot team has the possibility of extending their advance at the top of the table at 11 points if they overcome Manchester City on Sunday.
But while the boss of the Gunners admits that the result hurts, he thinks that the title race is far from over.
“It’s painful but tomorrow is another day,” said Arteta. “We must be very disappointed with what happened today and especially the way it happened. We must feel the pain.
“But it’s a long way, games to do again. There is a lot to play.
“We are still in February and what happened today can happen to any team and we cannot control what we are doing.”
The next step for Arsenal is a trip to the high -flying Nottingham forest on Wednesday evening.
