“If he can finish the trip, I would say he is (Broome) the greatest player in the history of Auburn basketball,” said Barkley when Thursday broadcast. “I really mean that. What he did for the program and coach (Bruce) Pearl and these guys was incredible. But if they could win a national championship, listen to the man, it would be great.
Barkley then underlined the appearance of Auburn in the Final Four 2019, declaring it the best season of the program to date.

“And I would say that, I said that when they arrived in the Final Four a few years ago, it is the biggest season in the history of Auburn basketball. If he is able to win a championship, I would say that he is the greatest player in the history of Auburn basketball. … He is better than me at university.”
