My training is finally back after recent setbacks like sciatica. I’m going to try to post more often now, I think I’m running out of steam a little, maybe because I was a little discouraged. I’m doing a lot of physiotherapy, stretching and strengthening for my lower back and hip muscles, so hopefully there won’t be any more relapses. I’m back to about two hours of exercise per day on average, including cycling, upper body strength work, and PT. So far, so good!

Friday I rode upright to the Coyote Creek Trail, but rode upright on the nearby dirt trails instead of the paved path. These are used very little, I think they are more intended for horse riding, but they are also perfect for cycling provided you have wide enough tires. I’m once again able to stand upright for longer, which I find to be a fun alternative to seated riding.
