Barcelona have made another attempt to re-register players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The Catalan giants announced they had submitted applications for Olmo and Victor to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) just hours before the midnight registration deadline.
Barcelona also denied allegations that they had asked governing bodies for a deadline for their registrations.
In a brief statement, the club said: “Barcelona informs that it has requested a new license for players Daniel Olmo and Pau Victor from the RFEF.
“The club would like to deny having requested or received any moratorium from any governing body for these registrations.”

On Monday, Barcelona lost a second appeal to register players for the rest of the season, with the club unable to meet the La Liga salary cap.
If the 27-time league winners fail in their final attempt, Olmo and Victor will become free agents after the deadline.
They could, however, meet the economic conditions to sign both players before the transfer window closes in February, but, according to Rfef rules, a player cannot be signed by the same club twice during the same season.
Olmo, who played an important role for Spain during their Euro 2024 triumph this summer, has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave if the club fail to sign him.
Barcelona signed the 26-year-old attacking midfielder in August from RB Leipzig for around £45 million, but he was only signed for the first half of the season.
The club was able to sign Olmo and Victor initially due to long-term injuries to first-team players, allowing Barcelona, under La Liga rules, to temporarily use up to 80% of a player’s salary about an alternative in the event of injury. .
However, due to delays in his La Liga registration caused by Barcelona’s ongoing financial difficulties, Olmo missed the first two matches of the campaign.
The current situation with Olmo and Victor is another chapter in the club’s ongoing financial saga as they continue to fail to comply with La Liga’s financial rules.
Leading Catalan newspaper El Mundo Deportivo claims the club has already explored other avenues to generate revenue that would boost its hopes of being able to re-register players, including selling VIP seats at the renovated Camp Nou stadium.
