Several of the continent’s giants were in action, while others watched and waited in front of their matches on Sunday.
Harry Kane and Bayern Munich welcomed Holstein Kiel in order to stay at the top of the Bundesliga under Vincent Kompany.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain went to Brest in order to continue their superior form and load the title of Ligue 1.
And the leaders of Laliga, Real Madrid, visited Espanyol.

Bayern Munich survived a late dramatic fear to ensure a 4-3 victory against Holstein Kiel in a thrilling confrontation of Bundesliga at the Allianz Arena.
The league leaders seemed to occur after establishing an advance of 4-0, but Kiel organized an extraordinary return to push Bayern to the edge.
Jamal Musiala opened the scoring in the 19th minute, converting the reduction of Michael Olise to place the hosts. Harry Kane then presented his aerial prowess, with two headers-one just before half-time of the Lofted cross by Kingsley Coman and another at the start of the second half, grabs the punctual delivery of Raphael Guerreiro.
Serge Gnabry added the fourth of Bayern with a superb volley after reacted a deviation as quickly as possible.
Despite the domination of Bayern, Kiel refused to capitulate. Finn Porath triggered the response with a powerful strike in the upper left corner to the 62nd minute. While the downtime was approaching, Steven Skrzybski hit the rapid succession twice, first recovering from the reduction of Timo Becker, then by capitalizing on a defensive lance to shoot in front of Manuel Neuer.
The victory extends the Bayern victories sequence in six league games, which moved them to nine points at the top. They then face Werder Bremen, while Kiel will seek to come together against Bochum.

Paris Saint-Germain won a 5-2 victory against Brest at the Francis-Le Ble stadium, although the score dismissed the tense battle.
PSG has dominated half of opening, controlling possession and creating many chances. Ousmane Dembele was refused twice earlier before finally breaking the blocking in the 29th minute, turning around at close range after a brilliant race and the help of Bradley Barcola.
Brest, devoid of a first half-time cutting edge, emerged rejuvenated after the break.
Romain del Castillo leveled the scoring in the 50th minute, passing in front of Gianluigi Donnarumma after a long ball by Julien Lala. PSG responded quickly, Dembele ending his hat -trick in just 12 minutes – his second coming from a rebound after Marquinhos’ pass, and the third thanks to the smart assistance of Kang -in Lee.
Brest refused to capitulate, with Ludovic Ajorque by pulling one in the 71st minute, setting up a nervous final.
The hosts supported hard, but the quality of PSG shone in dying moments. The replacement Gcalcalo Ramos marked twice in rapid succession, the first after a brilliant solo race and an aid of Doue design, and the second after a lucky deflection.

The Espanyol won a superb 1-0 victory over the Real Madrid championship chiefs at the RCDE stadium, gracked a late goal from Carlos Romero.
Despite Madrid’s domination in possession and numerous notation opportunities, Espanyol’s resilience and a heroic performance of goalkeeper Garcia obtained an unexpected triumph.
The first half saw Madrid struggle to break the disciplined Low Bloc of Espanyol. Vinicius Jr. thought he had given Madrid the advance in the 22nd minute with a superb curling effort, only for Var to exclude it due to a Mbappe fault in construction. The chances of Madrid were limited, Bellingham recorded his first shot on Target in the 39th minute.
Madrid intensified their pressure after the break. Garcia produced a series of remarkable stops, including a double stop by Bellingham and Mbappe in the 51st minute and another stop the finger to refuse the curling of Mbappe in the 77th. Rodrygo also got closer in an agonizing way, hitting the post after a dazzling race.
Espanyol seized its luck in the 85th minute. A quick counterattack saw El Hilali deliver a precise cross in Romero, which stole the house beyond courteous to send the fans of the house in rapture.
Madrid has desperately sought an equalizer, with Vinicius narrowly lacking in dying moments, his shot slightly deviating an attributed corner, to his great frustration.
In the end, Espanyol’s defensive discipline and Garcia’s brilliance were decisive, offering Madrid a rare defeat and breathing new life in the League race.
