“You’re still mooing.” » a parent friend said to me one day, as he quickly disappeared into the horizon. As a working parent with two kids, I… don’t disagree. To some extent, the sound of the headset is less important than the correct fit. They may be the best-sounding headphones in the world, but I’ll find them irritating if they don’t stay on halfway through. So how TO DO do you prevent your headphones from falling? Here are some of the tips and tricks I’ve tried over the years to make sure they don’t fall out.
- Dial it in. To put your headphones on, open your ear slightly and twist it slightly to secure it. If they don’t fit, don’t be afraid to change or mismatch the tip sizes: one ear may need a medium tip and the other a small one, for example, or the one may need a foam tip while the other needs a plastic tip. .
- Accessorize. Still can’t get it to fit perfectly? There is a healthy market for replacement clips and wings so your headphones or AirPods fit more securely.
- Check the IP rating. Penetration protection ratings gives you a quick indication of the headset’s dust and water resistance. If you’re running outside in the pouring rain, you need a higher PI than if you’re doing gentle calisthenics in the gym.
