The blue origin of Jeff Bezos The New Glenn rocket successfully lifted off from Florida early Thursday after its first launch attempt was canceled Wednesday.
This theft is Bezos’ attempt to enter the private sector space race. The successful launch could open up competition to Elon Musk’s SpaceX.
New Glenn began its first-ever ascent to the stars Thursday morning, and Blue Origin said the primary goal of the first flight was simply to get into orbit.

“To reiterate our objectives, this is our first flight and we have prepared rigorously for it. ground tests or mission simulations replace piloting this rocket,” Blue Origin said via X.
