Borussia Dortmund will seek to relax in the handicap of the Champions League when they welcome Sporting CP on the second floor of their equality.
Dortmund produced an effective display in Lisbon to take total control of this tie, with the Summer Serhou Guirassy’s arrival with Niko Kovac won his first victory in BVB.
The problems continued to occur under the new manager at the national level, however, and they were beaten again this weekend. This time, Bochum took advantage of their vulnerabilities during a 2-0 defeat.
Sporting, meanwhile, fell on the edge of the road since Ruben Amorim left the city, and their fortune did not improve under Rui Borges after the successor of Amorim, Joao Pereira, was dismissed for weeks.
After the convincing defeat of last week, Ten-Man Sporting took place at home by Arouca on Saturday and their advantage at the top of the Liga de Primeira is only two points.
Here is everything you need to know about Wednesday Champions League eliminators.

Kovac inherited a relatively healthy Dortmund team, although Felix Nmecha and Ramy Bensebaini are both in March and will not be in action on Wednesday.
Marcel Sabitzer was hung at halftime against Bochum and could abandon the host midfielders in favor of Salih Ozcan. He will probably join Pascal Gross in Dortmund’s pivot, with the German international score during the victory in the first stage of last week.
Guirassy is a shoo-in to start at the top after its stellar display in Lisbon.
Dortmund chairs Lineup vs Sporting (4-2-3-1):: Kobel; Ryerson, CAN, Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini; Sabitzer, Gross; Adeyemi, Brandt, Gittens; Guirassy.
General Morten Hjulmand is available for selection after missing the first leg due to the suspension. However, the hosts recently underwent a notable setback in the middle of the park while Daniel Braganca suffered a tear from the LCA.
Defender Zeno Debast could be forced to a midfielder in the absence of Braganca.
Geny Catamo also recently joined Sporting’s list of injuries alongside Nuno Santos, a former Amorim favorite, so we will probably see visitors adopting a back four in Dortmund.
Sporting predicted Lineup vs Dortmund (4-2-3-1): Silva; Fresneda, Diomande, Quaresma, Reis; Debast, Hjulmand; Trincao, Simoes, Biel; Gyoker.
Sporting formerly resembled one of the dark horses of this competition, but their benefits after the departure of Amorim were astounding. They were sworded by a vulnerable Dortmund team last week, and they now have an almost impossible task on Wednesday if they want to progress.
The required inspiration does not happen soon, the yellow wall will disturb another evening in the Champions League.
The side of Kovac is undoubtedly defective and could well concede on the floor at home, but the undeniable quality of Guirassy should bring again in a closely disputed victory.
