(Reuters) -Berkshire Hathaway founder and president Warren Buffett will give up his usual appearance during the meeting of shareholders of the company 2026, the Omaha World -Herald reported.
Buffett will be in the place sitting alongside the company’s board of directors while his successor and current vice-president and the new CEO, Greg Abel, answers the questions, according to the report.
At the request of Buffett, Abel will go on stage next year, added the report, quoting Susie Buffett, the daughter of Warren Buffett and a member of the Berkshire board of directors.
Abel told the newspaper that the next annual meeting will be in Omaha on May 2. Reuters could not immediately confirm that the report and Berkshire did not immediately respond to the request for a comment reuters.
Earlier this month, the company said Buffett remains president after Abel took the CEO post. Berkshire made this announcement two days after the 94 -year -old buffett revealed during the annual meeting of the company in Omaha that he would resign as CEO, ending six decades at the helm of the legendary investor.
