Former Minister of the Union, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, weighed on the criticism of the Minister of Agriculture of the Union, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Air India criticism after receiving a defective seat on a flight from Bhopal to Delhi.
In an article on X (formerly Twitter), Chandrasekhar pointed out: “If he was someone other than the gentleman @chouhanshivraj ji, the person would have created an angry answer justified to this type of incident🙏 🏻. ”
He also underlined the concerns concerning the quality of Air India services within the framework of the Tata group, declaring: “Tatas takeover of @Airindia has created a situation of reduction in competition and the choice of consumers in Airlines with full service – which leads to complacency and Chalta Hai! Suggest @tatacompanies addresses this deformation – otherwise the regulator / government must begin to consider the interest of consumers as a regulatory result in addition to security. »»
Chouhan had previously taken to X to share his frustration, calling his “pressed and uncomfortable” seat and wondering why passengers were sold tickets for defective seats.
“I had reserved a ticket on Air India Flight AI436 and I was assigned headquarters number 8C. When I sat down, I sank-it was uncomfortable, “he wrote, adding that other passengers offered him a better seat, but he chose to stay in his assigned seat to avoid the disadvantages of others.
According to Chouhan, the staff of airlines admitted that management was aware of the defective seat but had always sold tickets to him. “Not only one, but many seats of this type exist,” he said, pressing Air India to clarify if they intended to solve these problems or continue to “take advantage of the constraint of passengers to reach their destination ”.
His remarks also made a blow to the Air India transition under the Tata group, expressing the disappointment of its post-fusion service. “I thought that the Air India service would improve after Tata took over, but it seems that I was wrong,” he noted.
The Chouhan complaint has rekindled concerns about the quality of the Air India service, users on social networks echoing similar frustrations. While some have criticized the treatment of passengers by the air transport industry, others stressed that Air India had been given to Tata in a degraded state, arguing that the expectations in immediate luxury were not realistic.
