The Chinese army condemned the navigation of a Canadian warship in the Taiwan Strait on Monday, saying that its air and naval forces had monitored and warned the ship, just a few days after the ships in the US Marine have made a similar mission.
The American navy, and sometimes ships from allied countries like Canada, Great Britain and France, transit the Strait about once a month. China, which claims that Taiwan is its own territory, also says that the strategic navigable way belongs to it.
Canada’s actions “have deliberately aroused trouble” and undermined peace and stability in the Strait, said the Liberation Liberation Liberation Theater Command.
“Theatrical forces maintain a high level of alert at any time and counter-control all threats and provocations,” he added.
There was no immediate response from Canada World Affairs to the Chinese Declaration.

The Chinese and Taiwanese governments identified the ship as HMCS Ottawa.
The Taiwan Ministry of Defense said on Sunday, the ship had sailed a direction north, adding that Taiwanese forces were also monitored.
The Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the sail.
“Canada has again taken concrete measures to defend the freedom, peace and opening of the Taiwan Strait and has demonstrated its firm position according to which the Taiwan Strait is international waters,” he said on Sunday .
Last October, a warship in the United States and Canada sailed together in the Strait, less than a week after China organized a new series of war games around the island.
The democratically elected government of Taiwan rejects the affirmations of Beijing’s sovereignty, saying that only the people of the island can decide their future.
