Chris Brown has high hopes for Donald Trump’s presidency
Recently, The Shade Room detected a post shared by Chris Brown on his Instagram Stories before it was deleted. The “Sensational” singer shared one of his hopes for Donald Trump as he prepares to officially assume the role of the 47th President of the United States, with his inauguration set for January 20, 2025.
Breezy added the eyes emoji, then asked his Instagram followers and fans: “Anyone else hope Trump shuts down the IRS?” he added, “If he succeeds…PUT THIS MAN ON THE hundred dollar bill.”
Trump says he will create ‘external tax revenue’
Although Donnie has not announced he will eliminate taxes, he announced plans Tuesday to create a new government agency. According to P.A.he wants to create the Foreign Revenue Service to collect tariffs and other revenues from foreign countries.
“We’re going to start charging those who make money from trade, and they’ll start paying,” Trump said Tuesday on his social media site, Truth Social.
He compared his creation project to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). To do so, it will need an act of Congress, and Republicans hold majorities in the House and Senate.
Trump has made clear his intention to reduce the size of government. However, the proposed new agency will perform functions already performed by existing agencies. That means jobs could be lost for people working at agencies like the Department of Commerce and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Mind you, billionaire Elon Musk and fellow entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy are leading Trump’s ambitious effort to shrink the size and scope of the federal government. It’s worth noting that tariffs have become a staple of Trump’s economic agenda heading into his second term.
