Chris Wood says he wants to play for a season in his native New Zealand before retiring.
The Nottingham Forest striker had the season of his life, scoring 18 Premier League goals to help direct the forest towards football in the Champions League.
The 33 -year -old man is under contract on the city of the city until 2027, but has long -term plans to return to his nation of origin with the English wife Emma.
“I spoke to the woman, where we will certainly come back and live in New Zealand and be part of New Zealand for a year, because I want to experience the house,” said the New Zealand News website Thing.
“If it done with football at the same time, it would be fantastic.

“There is a lot more than I want to do in football. And it’s weird to say that at 33 years old. I believe that age is only a certain number, and I hope I can prove this, I have proven it with my best season at 33. There is much more to come.”
New Zealand has two professional clubs in competition in the mainly Australian A-League-Wellington Phoenix and the high-flying extension team Auckland FC.
With 41 goals in 80 appearances for New Zealand, the country’s most prolific scorer would probably be welcome in both.
“I love the two cities a lot,” he said.
“100% I will sit on this fence and it is football at the end of the day. Everything can change. “
