Cracker Barrel cements like a good egg in the catering industry, promising customers constant prices as a result of competitors’ egg surcharge announcements.
“Egg prices remain in place, but we double your awards,” wrote the company in an article on Facebook.
Thursday evening, the company announced that the members of Cracker Barrel Rewards will also win double ankles on all egg dishes Until Wednesday.

The announcement comes after epidemics in the bird flu led to an increase in egg prices and limited availability on a national scale.
Earlier this week, Fox Business reported that a number of companies planned to add egg supplements in the middle of the recent shortage.
Waffle House, a sprawling food chain of southern breakfast, implemented an .50 supplement by temporary egg on Monday in all its menus.

“Rather than increasing prices in the menu, this is a temporary and targeted supplement linked to the unprecedented increase in egg prices,” wrote the company.
Although price fluctuations are “short -lived”, the company said that it was not clear how long the shortage will last.

Waffle House, which has nearly 2,000 locations in 25 states, clarified eggs will remain on the menu, but the price indications will be adjusted as the market conditions allow.

Sean Kennedy, executive vice-president of public affairs of the National Restaurant Association, explained that during shortages, operators collaborate with food suppliers to assess the impact.
They can later make the decision to limit the financial toll by modifying the menus or by increasing prices.
