Cristiano Ronaldo says the problem at Manchester United is not with the manager and hinted at wider problems with the Glazers.
United sit 14th in the Premier League table following last night’s 2-0 defeat to Wolves.
Ruben Amorim was brought in a month ago to replace Erik ten Hag, but results have not improved, with the Portuguese taking seven points from his first seven league matches in charge.

Asked about the situation at Old Trafford, Ronaldo said at the Globe Soccer Awards: “[The] The Premier League is the most difficult championship in the world.
“All teams are good, all teams fight, all teams run, all teams are strong. Football is different right now. There are no more easy games.
“I said it a year and a half ago, and I’ll continue to say it: the problem is not the coaches, it’s like… I always give this example… it’s like an aquarium.
“If you have the fish in there and it’s sick and you take it out and fix the problem and put it back in an aquarium, you’ll be sick again.
“Manchester United’s problem is the same. The problem isn’t always the coach. It’s much more than that.

Asked if he thought that was the situation now, he added: “100 percent. If I own the club, I will clarify things and adjust the things that are wrong there.
And while he hasn’t said he would one day own Manchester United, Ronaldo has claimed he would follow in the footsteps of former Old Trafford hero David Beckham and own a major club at some point.
When asked if he had spoken to the Glazers, he replied: “I am still very young and I have so many plans and dreams in front of me but, believe me, I will be the owner of a big club , that’s for sure.”
