At least 17 people are injured after a Delta Air Lines plane overturned upside down while landing in the middle of winter conditions on Monday at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration indicates that 80 people were on board 4819, which comes from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
According to Deborah Flint, president and chief executive officer of Toronto Pearson International Airport, the plane was carrying four crews and 76 passengers, including 22 Canadians. The other passengers were multinational.
“The airport emergency workers have gone up to the manual, reaching the site in a few minutes and quickly evacuating passengers,” Flint said at a press conference on Monday evening.
