The plane crash, which involved a jet of Delta Air Lines CRJ-900 which left Minneapolis, was reported for the first time by CTV. The flight was identified as the Delta 4819, operated by Endeavour Air, and carried 80 people, which were all counted.
The incident is the last in a series of aviation accidents this year, including an American collision of airlines with a Black Hawk army helicopter in Washington, DC, killing 64 passengers and military crew. This was followed by a private medical flight which crashed in Philadelphia on his return to Mexico, killing seven on board and one on the ground.
