Ousmane Dembele continued his remarkable start until 2025 with another goal while Paris Saint-Germain struck the first in Anfield against Liverpool.
France’s winger started and finished a quick counterattack after 12 minutes to provoke the men of Luis Enrique at the front after the local team dominated the opening stages in front of a noisy crowd of Merseyside.
Liverpool was completely overwhelmed by the princes’ park last week, but emerged with an advantage of 1-0 in the first leg.
This time, it was reversed roles while PSG carried their luck while the interior team swarmed forward.
The men of Arne Slot could have gone in front of the fourth minute. Dominik Szobozslai chose Alexis Mac Allister and his square pass seemed perfect for Mohamed Salah to end, but the Egyptian shot struck Nuno Mendes and flashed on the bar.
Salah then placed a one meter wide shot and Virgil Van Dijk saw a head from a Blocked Allister Mac near the line while the pressure continued.
Dembele suffocates Anfield as Paris Saint-Germain take the lead
From nowhere – just as Liverpool did it last week – PSG scored.
Dembele led a quick break just inside his own half before sliding to Bradley Barcola on the right. The Barcola cross was passed in front of Alisson through the tense leg of Ibrahima Konate and Dembele was on site to bring its 21st goal closer to 2025.

Konate almost made amends with a shot of 25 yards which brought an intelligent and dive of Gianluigi Donnarumma before PSG almost doubled their advantage.
This time, it was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who led the break before sliding to Barcola, but his efforts were suffocated by the Alisson who was advancing.
