“He will hope to be more and more important for us.”
The villa’s boss admitted that the performance in the first half against Chelsea was below the peer, but he praised the projection of his players after the break.
Emery said, “We needed more. We concede a lot and do not dominate. Today, we started very badly, we conceded the goal. We were late on our press. Then we are gradually improving.
“In the second half, we played fantastically. The submarines had a good impact, and we needed it because we played on Wednesday [against Liverpool] And we tired.
Emery added that it was essential for Villa to strengthen their team in the January transfer window if they want to participate in three different fronts this season.
“We were with the need to improve our team,” said Spanish.
“We want the players to participate in the first eight, the FA Cup and the Champions League.”
