Star Wars fans who grew up with the original trilogy had every reason to think that the Jedi were very intelligent. After all, Obi-Wan Kenobi describes them as peacekeepers and justice who protected galaxy for a thousand generations, and Yoda was the ultimate incarnation of the wisdom of another world. Unfortunately, the prequel trilogy presented the Jedi as having collectively the intelligence of Jar-Jar Binks. And if you have a doubt about it, just go back and look at the strange incompetence of the Jedi during the Battle of Geonosis Clone attack.
The Battle of Geonosis

This particular fight marked a real turning point for the Jedi, showing how vulnerable they were against an army of droids. So vulnerable, in fact, that he took the arrival Yoda And the clone soldiers to prevent the battle of the geonosis from turning into a full blood bath. However, this vulnerability had nothing to do with the force or the tactics of the separatists and everything that is to be seen with the Jedi worth in a war area without real battle plan.
Remember that before the Battle of Geonosis in its own right, several Jedi showed up to save Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. However, they are thwarted by transport number Droids that separatists have at hand. These Jedi are soon to have the mercy of the clankers, but it only apparently occurred because these mystical spatial wizards are deeply, deeply stupid.
For example, we, as viewers, are supposed to be surprised by the number of droids appearing during the Battle of Geonosis. But the Jedi should not have been surprised, especially when each of them can feel a danger to some extent. In addition to that, we see Obi-Wan Kenobi warning the Jedi council that “the foundry of Law seems to work with full capacity”, but they only send a relative handful of Jedi to attack what they knew Already being a whole one planet Lots of implacable robot soldiers.

The arrival of Yoda is what saves the surviving Jedi during the Battle of Geonosis. Between this and his reputation as a elderly elderly, you might think that he is the group’s brain. However, the only important order it gives is to create a perimeter around the survivors, and the only reason why these Jedi survivors have not been turned as soon as the clones have entered the atmosphere is a combination of cinematographic magic and armor of the plot.
Finally, although this is the kind of thing that no fan of Star Wars should question too deeply (the force, after all, moves in a mysterious way), it is a little crazy that Yoda, the one we Easily soaps that can easily get visions of the future of the future, had no way to predict how the battle of geonosis could potentially decrease. It is just as crazy as he did not appear with the rest of the Jedi. Given that he is the only one who can hold on to Dooku and move very heavy objects with his mind, he would have been much more useful as a soldier than a general rearguard containing in combat.
This is just a film, of course, and many Star Wars fans would say that we should not put the battle of geonosis under such intense microscope. But this only battle highlights how really incompetent Jedi were and how much of their lives they would gladly throw rather than lead two seconds of planning. Forget order 66. In all likelihood, you can defeat Jedi this stupid by simply imprisoning them in a paper bag.
