The NJ transit is closed after hundreds of locomotive engineers with the brotherhood of locomotive engineers decided to conclude once an agreement on wages has not been respected.
The recent strike involving New Jersey Transit (NJ transit) should end after the conclusion of a tent agreement, which means that the service will be restored for more than 350,000 passengers.
The strike, which was the first NJ transit strike in more than 40 years, started after midnight Friday morning. He mainly disrupted tens of thousands of Garden State commuters working in New York.
Striching rail engineers could have negotiated salary increases. In a statement, NJ Transit said that his trains would start working on Tuesday.
“NJ Transit and the brotherhood of locomotive engineers and trains (BET) announced a provisional agreement,” said NJ Transit.

“Consequently, the NJ Transit Train Service will resume on Tuesday, May 20, because it takes approximately 24 hours to inspect and prepare tracks, railway cars and other infrastructure before returning to the full planned service,” the statement added.
The agency also said that it “will continue to deploy customer ambassadors in Park & ​​Ride stations to help customers as a restart of train services”.
The union confirmed the end of the strike in a statement on Sunday,
“The terms of the agreement will be sent to the 450 members of the union who work as a locomotive engineers or are trainees in the passenger railway for their consideration,” said Blet’s declaration. “The figures for the language of the contract and the dollar will be announced to the public later after BET members had the opportunity to review.
