Nottingham Forest moved up to second in the table with a 2-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park in one of four 3pm Premier League kick-offs on Sunday.
Goals from Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White gave Forest victory as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are two points clear of Arsenal, with the Gunners only playing on New Year’s Day.
It completes what has been a hugely impressive second half of the year for Espirito Santo’s side, who travel to struggling Wolves on January 6.

At the other end of the table, Tyler Dibling scored the first goal of the Ivan Juric era as Southampton took an early lead in their match against Crystal Palace.
However, Trevoh Chalobah equalized on the half-hour mark before Eberechi Eze completed the comeback in the 52nd minute.
The result keeps the Saints bottom of the league, while Palace move to within two points of 14th-placed Manchester United.
At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs and Wolves played out a memorable 2-2 draw, with Jorgen Strand Larsen equalizing in the 87th minute for the visitors.

Hwang Hee-Chan gave Wolves an early lead, only for Rodrigo Bentancur and Brennan Johnson to overturn the tie before halftime.
Ange Postecoglou’s recent frustrations were further compounded when Strand Larsen equalized with three minutes left in the 90 minutes.
A few miles outside the city, at Craven Cottage, Fulham and Bournemouth also found themselves in a four-goal deadlock.
After an impressive win at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day, Raul Jimenez and Harry Wilson scored for Marco Silva’s side.
But the Cherries fought back each time from falling behind, with Evanilson and Dango Ouatarra gifting Andoni Iraola’s side a point.
