(Reuters) – The largest video game manufacturer in France, Ubisoft, published a 20.5% drop in annual net reservations on Wednesday, because the company was faced with problems with delayed outings and the underperformance of some of its main titles.

The manufacturer of the successful franchise “Assassin’s Creed” declared net reservations of 1.85 billion euros ($ 2.07 billion) for the year on March 31, slightly below his advice of around 1.9 billion euros.

Ubisoft plans to announce a new global group organization by the end of the year, with the aim of serving the needs of players at best, providing superior quality and leading a disciplined capital allowance, he said in a statement.

It expects the 2025-2026 stable net reservations to an Anney year by year and about by approximately the non-Iifers operating income. Net reservations for the first quarter are planned at 310 million euros.

Ubisoft also plans to return to non-positive non-IFRS operational income and the generation of cash flow available in 2026-2027, he said.

“After an examination of our pipeline, we decided to provide additional development time to some of our largest productions to create the best success conditions,” CEO Yves Guillemot said in the press release.

As a result, he said, the next two years would see “important content from our biggest brands”.

In March, the company faced a moment of achievement or breaking with the launch of the last episode of the franchise “Assassin’s Creed” while the company faced the drop in income, a scholarship course and a buyout speculation.

“Aware of future challenges, we have taken decisive measures to continue to strengthen the future of the company. The launch of” Assassin’s Creed Shadows “was a decisive moment,” said Guillemot.

The press release reaffirmed the power of the brand, he added, and had received a “very favorable community response”.

Ubisoft said that the game had delivered the second largest number of sales revenues of day 1 in the history of the franchise and set up a new record for Ubisoft Day 1 performance on the PlayStation digital shop.
