Bringing together cinema and technology, Studio Blo named the veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur as president of his new AI and creative stewardship council. The announcement, made on May 6, 2025, points out the studio’s ambition to direct the future of the narration focused on AI with innovation and responsibility.
With this appointment, Kapur will direct the efforts of the studio to exploit artificial intelligence in a responsible manner, while reinventing how the stories are created and experienced on media platforms.

Kapur, recently honored by Padma Bhushan, is celebrated for emblematic works such as Elizabeth, Bandit Queen and M. India. With distinctions such as a BAFTA prize, a national prize and a nomination for the Golden Globe, his reputation for emotional narration and cinema cariader makes him a natural ally in the disturbing trip of Studio Blo.
