Manchester United Manager Ruben Amorim congratulated the winger Alejandro Garnacho after “changed in all” since the disappointment of being excluded from the Manchester derby.

Marcus Rashford and Garnacho were both excluded from the team that beat City in mid-December, and while Rashford continues to be left out, Garnacho regularly presented, collecting a decisive pass during the victory in the middle weekly at the FCSB while United has sealed the progression of the Europa League Round by 16.

“He has immediately changed since this match against City,” said head coach Amorim about Garnacho. “The way he understands things and understands that I just want to help him, I just want to win matches.

“He has changed in everything: the approach when you speak with him, the way he recovers. He understands that sometimes I am a different coach, which I ask in my own way and sometimes it is difficult with the first impact because it is another type of coach.

“He understands that it is never in the wrong direction, it’s always for him, but I am a different person.

“I think all the merit (goes to) Garnacho. He improves and we want to continue to improve with Garnacho. »»

Garnacho had been linked to this month with his compatriot Kobbie Main.

The 19 -year -old English midfielder played higher in a role of 10 in Romania and impressed his manager.

“Everyone in England considers it a very, very good player,” added Amorim.

“He played in the final of the European Championship, so I think that is more the position. Then he is not comfortable because before he always played and now he sometimes plays, sometimes not.

“But I think the key point is the position. It is different for him, it requires a lot of him and in this position, I think that (he was) happier to play. As simple as that.

“I am not only looking at the movements, the way he touched the ball. I just feel it watching it. He was so happy on the ground. It is important for me because if they are happy, they play better, so I think he can change position. »»
