George Foreman died, confirmed his family. He was 76 years old.
The family of the truck boxing champion has confirmed The death of the foreman via a Instagram post Shared on Friday March 21.
“Our hearts are broken. With a deep sadness, we announce the death of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr. who left peacefully on March 21, 2025 surrounded by loved ones,” said the post. “A devout preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, he lived a life marked by an unshakable faith, a humility and a goal.”
The post continued: “A humanitarian champion, Olympian and twice the heavyweights of the world, he was deeply respected – a force for good, a man of discipline, a conviction and a protector of his inheritance, fighting tirelessly to preserve his good reputation – for his family.

Foreman, who was a heavyweight boxer from 1969 to 1997, had 12 children: five sons and seven daughters, two of whom have adopted in recent years. All his sons are called George “so they would always have something in common”, as he said once. His daughter Freeda Foreman deceased In 2019 at the age of 42.
The Olympic gold medalist had an illustrious sports career and won the world heavyweight title in 1973 after winning his rival Joe Frazierwho was undefeated at the time.
